What happens when I remove a post?

Once you deleted a post or reply, it is then removed from community, you will not be able to undo this action once it has been completed. This means that the removed post will no longer be visible on the HealthUnlocked platform, but is archived in our database.

I have deleted my post and/or reply but it is still showing up on search engines

When a search engine continues to display content that you've deleted from a HealthUnlocked, it usually happens because search engines like Google or Bing keep cached versions of web pages. Even after you've removed the content, the old version may still be indexed. Here’s what you can do to address this:

Steps to Remove Deleted Content from Search Results:

  1. Clear the Cache:
    • If the website has a caching mechanism (e.g., Cloudflare or any web server cache), clear the cache to make sure the most recent version (without the content) is displayed.

Wait for the Search Engine to Reindex:

    • Search engines periodically reindex websites, but it may take some time for them to reflect the changes. You can speed this up by manually submitting your site for reindexing via Google Search Console or Bing Webmaster Tools.Request Content Removal from Google:
      • Use Google’s URL removal tool to request the removal of the outdated content.
        • Go to Google Search Console.
        • You’ll need to submit the specific URL of the deleted page or content.
        • If successful, this will remove the cached version from Google's index.
      • Other search engines like Bing have similar tools to remove outdated content.

        Request Content Removal from Google:

    • Use Google’s URL removal tool to request the removal of the outdated content.
      • Go to Google Search Console.
      • You’ll need to submit the specific URL of the deleted page or content.
      • If successful, this will remove the cached version from Google's index.
    • Other search engines like Bing have similar tools to remove outdated content.

If It’s a Persistent Issue:

If after following the steps above the deleted content is still showing, it could be that there’s an issue with the crawl process. In this case, contacting the search engine’s support team might be necessary.
