How do I add Google Analytics tracking to my community?

To do this you must have:

1. the Partner badge associated with your account for the HealthUnlocked community you wish to track
2. A Google analytics account with admin access

Step 1 - Adding your HealthUnlocked community as an account in Google analytics

1. Click here to go to Google Analytics
   Note: If you have a Google account, and are not signed in, click Sign in. If you do not have a Google account, click Create an account
2. Once you have signed in to your Google account, click Access Google Analytics
3. Click Sign up
4. Fill in your Account Name, Website Name, Website URL (healthunlocked.com/yourcommunity)
5. Select ‘Healthcare’ as the Industry Category and your Reporting Time Zone
6. Under Data Sharing Options, check the boxes next to the options that you want
7. Click Get Tracking ID
8. From the Google Analytics Terms of Service Agreement that opens, click I Accept

Adding your HealthUnlocked community as a property to an existing Google analytics account

1. Log in to your Google Analytics account and go to the Admin section
2. Select the Property and select the option to Create new property.This option isn’t obvious; it’s located at the bottom of the menu
3. Fill in your Account Name, Website Name (HealthUnlocked - Your Community), Website URL (healthunlocked.com/yourcommunity)
4. Select ‘Healthcare’ as the Industry Category and your Reporting Time Zone
5. Under Data Sharing Options, check the boxes next to the options that you want
6. Click Get Tracking ID. Your Google Analytics tracking ID has been generated. You will need this ID to set up the integration with HealthUnlocked. Just keep this browser open or save the ID in a safe place

Step 2 - Adding tracking ID into HealthUnlocked

1. Sign in to your HealthUnlocked account, and go to the Admin page and select the metrics tab
2. Scroll down and tick ‘Enable Google Analytics tracking’
3. Paste your Google Analytics Tracking ID into the Google Analytics Code field. Make sure that there are no extra spaces before the codeClick Add tracking ID - the box and button will grey out and the text change to ‘Edit tracking ID'

To Edit a Tracking ID

1. Sign in to your HealthUnlocked account, and go to the Admin page and select the metrics tab
2. Scroll down ‘Google Analytics tracking’ section
3. Select ‘Edit tracking ID’
4. Edit the ID in the text box then when happy select ‘Add tracking ID’ - the box and button will grey out and the text change to ‘Edit tracking ID
