Different types of search on HealthUnlocked

To help you find what you’re looking for while using the platform, we have developed two different types of search functions for you to use: site-wide and community-specific.

Site-wide Search

The site-wide search allows you to look across all posts and communities on HealthUnlocked. You will see the search bar at the top of any page on the platform.

How to Use:

  1. Click on the search bar at the top of the screen.
  2. Type in what you are looking for (e.g., a condition, medication, symptom, well-being topic, or the name of a community).
  3. Press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard or click the magnifying glass icon.
  4. You will be taken to the results page, where you can filter the search by either posts or communities.
  5. Click your choice and scroll through the results until you find what you are looking for.

Community-specific Search

Overview:

The community-specific search function allows you to search within a specific community, showing only posts or members from that community.

How to Use:

  1. Navigate to the community you want to search in.
  2. Click on the 'Posts' or 'Members' tab within the community.
  3. Type in what you are looking for into the search bar.
