Different types of badges on HealthUnlocked
Badges on HealthUnlocked highlight the different roles and/or achievements of members.
- Custom badges are unique to each community and can highlight the roles and/or achievements of members. Custom badges do not have access to any additional features.
- Default badges are standard across all of HealthUnlocked and highlight roles.
Default badges you might see:
- HealthUnlocked
- Members employed by HealthUnlocked.
- Partner
- Members employed by the organization running the community, and a limited number of members with a long-standing relationship with HealthUnlocked staff.
- Have access to all partner and administrative features.
- Only HealthUnlocked can assign this badge.
- Administrator
- Members that administrate and moderate the community.
- Have access to all administrative features.
- HealthUnlocked, Partners and Administrators can assign this badge.
- Moderator
- Members that help moderate the community.
- Have access to the administrative features needed for moderation.
- HealthUnlocked, Partners and Administrators can assign this badge.
What happens when a default badge is assigned?
When a Partner, Administrator or Moderator badge is assigned, the member will receive an automatic private message notifying them of their new badge, and a link to the Code of Conduct for Moderation Team Members for them to review.
How are badges displayed?
Badges are displayed next to your username on any post or reply you write. Only one badge is displayed, regardless of how many are assigned to your account.
The default badges always take precedence, so the partner, admin or moderator badge will always appear if you have one of those.
If you only have custom badges assigned to your account, then the badge that appears is the one most recently assigned.
